Keya Chatterjee is Acting Director of World Wildlife Fund’s Climate Change Program in the U.S. Chatterjee is part of WWF’s climate team, working on every level – local to global – to bring awareness about climate change to the masses and facilitate progress at the highest levels of government toward a new global climate treaty.

Chatterjee’s primary focus is on the on the international climate change negotiations under the United Nations, and the interrelationship between U.S. domestic action and international policy. She has been with WWF since 2006, initially serving in the Conservation Science Program.  Prior to joining WWF, she served as a Climate Change Specialist at USAID, assisting the organization’s efforts to use training, tools, and other means of capacity building to help developing and transition countries address climate-related concerns as a part of their development goals.

Chatterjee also spent three years at NASA Headquarters, working to communicate data and research through Earth Science Enterprise, NASA’s effort to develop a scientific understanding of the Earth system and its response to natural and human-induced changes to enable improved prediction of climate, weather, and natural hazards for present and future generations. She started her career as a Presidential Management Fellow in the U.S.  government, and was a Peace Corps Volunteer in a national park in Morocco from 1998 to 2000.
