News Release: 2011 Energy Efficiency Indicator: Europe Results

The Institute for Building Efficiency’s fifth annual Energy Efficiency Indicator survey for Europe shows increasing interest in energy efficiency among facility executives with rising energy prices, concern for energy security, and expectations of more government policies that mandate energy savings and greenhouse gas reductions. Still, many of the 857 respondents from six countries cited persistent barriers to energy efficiency in the form of financial constraints and lack of staff expertise to complete projects.
