Julia Currie

Milwaukee, WI, USA — Program Manager, Global Energy and Sustainability

Julia Currie is a Sustainability Programs Manager within the Global Energy & Sustainability Center of Excellence at Johnson Controls.  In this role, she supports the Institute for Building Efficiency in providing analysis of technologies, policies, and practices for reducing the impacts of the built environment on the natural environment. Her responsibilities include market research, strategic planning, stakeholder engagement, and development of strategic projects across all Building Efficiency units.

Prior to Johnson Controls, Julia worked in urban design, municipal master planning, and architecture at Torti Gallas and Partners in Washington, D.C.  She also spent one year in high-end residential design and project management in Chicago and interned with the WorldSteel Association to develop a life cycle assessment for a multi-family building in Wuhan, China.

Julia received a Bachelor of Architecture degree from the University of Notre Dame and an MBA and Master of Science in Natural Resources and the Environment from the University of Michigan.  She is a Registered Architect and a LEED Accredited Professional.
